As the managed services market continues to grow, driven by the ever-increasing demand for cloud services, it’s essential that the ability to demonstrate quickly and effectively service quality isn’t hampered by the shortcomings of tools used to provide such evidence.
When onboarding new customers, MSPs may be faced with an initial tooling challenge: to incorporate the new customer environment into the MSPs own preferred platform, or be asked to utilise the customers already installed tool. The latter immediately results in unwanted product sprawl: multiple iterations of multiple tools, with the accompanying loss of a single overarching view (single pane of glass), as well as additional administration/training burden potentially compromising efficiency.
It can sometimes be the case where, even if the MSP has a preferred tool, the product may not lend itself to being shared securely across multiple environments; sometimes requiring dedicated installations for each customer, thereby multiplying license costs, administrative effort and hardware costs (due to the lack of centralisation/consolidation)
